چکیده

Introduction: Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) corresponds to a clinicopathological syndrome, manifested by generally abundant proteinuria associated with hyaline deposits on part of certain glomeruli and sparing other glomeruli, effacement the pedicels. The general objective was determine prevalence FSGS, give its profiles; epidemiological, clinical, biological, pathological, etiological, therapeutic evolutionary FSGS. Materials Methods: This is retrospective analytical study over period six years extending from January 1, 2010 December 31, 2015 patients aged 16 or who were hospitalized received consultations during for primary secondary segmental focal hyalinosis. Patients whose records incomplete unusable not included in study. Results: We have 16.54% 158 cases FSGS out 6945 and/or hospitalized. Of 955 kidney biopsies distributed, incidences HSF were; 10.15%; 14.04%; 15%; 17.64%; 20.11%; 19.58% respectively 2010; 2011; 2012; 2013; 2014 2015, i.e. an annual increase around 1.25%. Renal-type edemas found 93.3%, first reason hospitalization. And ninety-six people had impaired function, 61%. average 24-hour 6.4 ± 3.69 g/24 hours. extremes 0.37 18.50 g/24h. nephrotic 84.86%. Non-specific NOS (Not Other Specificities) 62 39.24%, collapsing 48 30.40%. causes fibrosis 5/35 cases. Collapsing FSGSs followed most corticosteroid-resistant. evolution reveals that every 8 months decreases half. Conclusion: hyalinosis requires histological confirmation clinico-biological, profiles depend (pathological) type. works risk factors occurrence contribution electron microscopy diagnosis are desired.

Risk profiles of progression in primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.

BACKGROUND Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a component of childhood nephrotic syndrome occurring in 10%-20% of all cases. Over time, 25%-50% of children with FSGS develop kidney failure disease. We followed a cohort of children with FSGS in order to delineate the risk profile of progression to kidney failure (KF). METHODS We evaluated patient data collected from 1977 to 2002 at a...

Mycetomas: an epidemiological, etiological, clinical, laboratory and therapeutic review*

Mycetoma is a chronic suppurative disease of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, characterized by a symptomatic triad: tumor, fistulas and grains. It can be caused by fungi (eumycetoma) and bacteria (actinomycetoma), with similar clinical features. Diagnosis is based on the clinical presentation and identification of the etiological agents in the tissue, by mycological/bacteriological, histopatho...

Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis.

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a leading cause of kidney disease worldwide. The presumed etiology of primary FSGS is a plasma factor with responsiveness to immunosuppressive therapy and a risk of recurrence after kidney transplant-important disease characteristics. In contrast, adaptive FSGS is associated with excessive nephron workload due to increased body size, reduced nephron ...

Idiopathic focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.

Idiopathic focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a primary glomerular disease that essentially represents a form of chronic, progressive renal fibrosis for which there is no discernible cause. Often presenting with or eventually manifesting the nephrotic syndrome, this disease is increasing in incidence in both children and adults. Therapy continues to be a challenge, although some patie...

Collapsing Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis

Background and objectives: Treatment with IFN is rarely associated with nephrotic syndrome and renal biopsy findings of minimal-change disease or FSGS. Design, setting, participants, & measurements: We report 11 cases of collapsing FSGS that developed during treatment with IFN and improved after discontinuation of therapy. Results: The cohort consists of seven women and four men with a mean age...
